REDP-5675 section 1.4 once refers to the NED24 drawer as ESLS; the drawer itself is #ESR0 everywhere else.
On scale-out servers only two-socket S1022s, S1022 and S1024 are supported, one drawer maximum. Not supported on the S1014 or S1012. Needs firmware FW1040 and HMC 10.2.1040 or later. Each bay can be assigned to its own LPAR.
Before you order ESR0
An expansion drawer adds slots or drive bays when the server itself is full. It is often the difference between upgrading a Power 10 and replacing it.
